Who we are

MLST Archive (archive.mlst.ai) is operated by Dr. Tim Scarfe and Machine Learning Street Talk. It is an academic paper archive for research related to the MLST community.

What data we collect

Comments

If you leave a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form. If you sign in via Google or GitHub, we receive your public profile name, email address, and profile picture from those services. This information is used solely to display your identity alongside your comment.

Comments and associated user data are stored on our own servers. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymised usage data such as pages visited, time spent, and referring URLs. Google Analytics may set cookies on your browser. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Server logs

Our web server automatically logs requests, including IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, and pages requested. These logs are retained for operational and security purposes and are deleted periodically.

Cookies

We use cookies for:

  • Authentication – If you sign in to comment, a session cookie is set to keep you logged in.
  • Analytics – Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors.

We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across other sites.

  • GitHub OAuth – If you sign in with GitHub, your authentication is handled by GitHub. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.

  • Amazon CloudFront – Article files (PDFs, HTML, audio) are served via Amazon CloudFront CDN.

Data retention

Comments are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. You may request deletion of your comments and account data by contacting us.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
